Follow these tips as you move through the domain transfer process:

Step 1: Prepare for domain transfer

  • Ensure the domain is at least 60 days old
  • Unlock it at your current registrar
  • Request the authorization code (EPP code, Authinfo or Transfer Code)

Step 2: Submit Transfer at GoDomains

  • Enter your domain and auth code
  • DNS settings imported automatically
  • Add transfer to cart and complete checkout

Step 3: Complete the domain transfer

  • Transferring domains will take 5-7 days to complete
  • You’ll receive confirmation once your domain appears in your GoDomains account
